Measure of the Month – High Blood Pressure
High blood pressure increases the risk for heart disease and stroke. Called the “silent killer,” high blood pressure often has no warning signs or symptoms and many people don’t even realize they have it.
That’s why it’s important to get your blood pressure checked regularly! The good news is you can take steps to prevent high blood pressure or to treat it if it’s already high. So get a check-up with your doctor to see if you have high blood pressure (or if you could be at risk). Your doctor can tell you how to lower it to protect yourself from heart disease. A healthy heart is a healthy you!
