Every person should talk with their health care provider about their cervical health. When you do, your provider may recommend you get a cervical cancer screening such as a Pap smear.
Did you know? Louisiana has one of the highest cervical cancer death rates in the country. Screenings are the best way to detect cervical cancer. Early on, cervical cancer may not cause signs or symptoms. When it’s found early, cervical cancer can be easier to treat.
Get rewarded for getting your screening!
Louisiana Healthcare Connections members ages 21-64 earn $50 in healthy rewards when they get their cervical cancer screening. Rewards can be used to pay for things like utilities and rent.
Call your health care provider to schedule your screening.
Your provider can complete your screening during your annual wellness visit. Or you can schedule an appointment just for this screening. The screening is included in your benefits, so it won’t cost you a thing.
