Community Impact and Partnership

Three Louisiana Healthcare Connections employees and two cooks pose together while serving meals to people affected by Hurricane Laura in Lake Charles.

After Hurricane Laura, the Louisiana Healthcare Connections team served jambalaya to-go plates to people waiting in a drive-thru line to pick up recovery supplies in Lake Charles.

Transforming Louisiana's health cannot be achieved alone. Louisiana Healthcare Connections seeks relationships where existing skills can be leveraged, current capacity is enhanced and collective impact is strategic and meaningful.

Our community investment philosophy reflects a belief in the power of organizations that possess deep roots in the places where we live, learn, worship, work, and play. We partner with and invest in community organizations all across the state, to advance our mission and improve population health. Our community investments enhance and expand the programs and expertise that already existing in our state, not displace or fragment resources. We design programs and make targeted local investments to fill gaps in services and complement services in the community.

Supporting community-based efforts makes a tangible difference in the lives of our members and their families.
