How We Support Quality Care for Our Members
Date: 08/10/26
Choosing a doctor is an important decision. But you are not alone in making sure the care you get meets your needs.
Behind the scenes, Louisiana Healthcare Connections looks at how well our provider network is caring for members. We use information about care and health needs to see what is working, find areas that need attention and help providers improve.
Here is what that means for you.
We look beyond access to care
Making sure you can find a doctor is important. But our job as your health plan is bigger than that. We look at if members are getting the care they need to stay healthy and if they are getting support when they need it most.
This may mean looking at if our members are getting preventive care, health screenings, follow-up care after a hospital stay or support for ongoing health conditions.
This helps us find gaps in care so we can work with providers to better support your health.
We turn information into action
Health information is most helpful when it leads to better care. When we find an area to improve, we work with providers to take action. We may help identify members who are due for a screening, need follow-up care or could benefit from added support.
By working with providers, we can help make sure health needs are not missed.
We hold our network to high standards
Health care can always improve, and we are always working toward that goal. We expect providers in our network to work with us, respond to opportunities to improve and stay focused on the health of our members.
We are always looking at how well our providers are supporting better health. This helps us make informed decisions about our network and keep the focus where it belongs: on your health.
Your voice is part of quality care
Quality care also means being listened to, being treated with respect and feeling comfortable asking questions. If you have concerns about the care you receive, we want to know. You can call Member Services at 1-866-595-8133 (TTY: 711), Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
