If You Didn't Get a Pink Letter, Update Your Contact Info

Check your mailbox! In March 2023, Louisiana Healthcare Connections sent pink letters to all of our members. If you didn’t get a pink letter by the end of March, that means Louisiana Medicaid doesn’t have your current mailing address. If you don’t update your address now, you could miss out on important letters about your Medicaid eligibility.

Why do I need to keep my contact information current?

Medicaid renewals are returning! In April 2023, Louisiana Medicaid will re-start renewals for all Medicaid members. Not everyone will renew at the same time. It will take 12 months to renew all Medicaid members. Many renewals will require members to respond to mail.

If you get a letter telling you it is time to renew, or Medicaid needs more information, be sure to respond. Louisiana Medicaid will use your response to determine if you are still eligible. If you do not respond by the due date on your letter, you risk losing your coverage, even if you still qualify for Medicaid.

Help! I didn’t get my pink letter. Where can I update my information?

You can make changes to your address, telephone number, cell phone number and email address by logging on to MyMedicaid.la.gov or by contacting us:

Yay! I got my pink letter. Do I need to do anything?

Right now, no. But any time your information changes, you need to let Medicaid know. If you move or any other information changes, you need to update that information. This includes changes to your telephone number, your cell phone number or your email address.

Remember - Medicaid sends letters for lots of reasons. If you get a letter from Medicaid, be sure to read it right away and follow any instructions. As a Louisiana Healthcare Connections member, you’re already connected to the care you need, so don’t risk losing it!
