Louisiana Healthcare Connections is sharing a publication for providers, Medicaid Physician Reimbursement Rate Increase Effective July 1, 2025 (IB25-20).
Effective July 1, 2025, Medicaid will implement physician reimbursement rate increases as authorized by Act 306 of the 2024 Regular Legislative Session and funded through House Bill 1 of the 2025 Session. Rates for the services listed below will be increased to 85% of the March 2024 Medicare rates for Region 99. Services already reimbursed at or above this level will not receive an increase.
Updated rates will be available at www.lamedicaid.com starting August 15, 2025, and will be applied retroactively to July 1, 2025. Fee schedules will be published according to the timeline below, with all schedules released no later than September 30, 2025.

Claims for dates of service on or after July 1, 2025, that were previously paid at the old rates will be automatically reprocessed to reflect the new reimbursement amounts. No action is required from providers.
