2018-72: LDH Updates Specialized Behavioral Health Fee Schedule

The Louisiana Department of Health has published updates to the Specialized Behavioral Health Services (SBHS) Fee Schedule that will take effect on January 1, 2019. The full fee schedule can be reviewed on the Louisiana Medicaid Provider website.

Major changes include:

• Deleted CPT procedure codes – 96101, 96102, 96103, 96118, 96119, 96120.
• Added CPT procedure codes – 96121, 96130, 96131, 96132, 96133, 96136, 96137, 96138, 96139, 96146, along with Modifier TG for Neuropsychological Testing codes; 96136/TG, 96137/TG, 96138/TG, 96139/TG and 96146/TG.
• Existing CPT procedure code definition revised – 96116, Neurobehavioral Status Exam should no longer be billed in multiple units (First hour only). Each additional hour should be billed using code 96121.
• Community Psychiatric Support and Treatment Individual Office (H0036) and Individual Community (H0036/U8) are no longer billable for providers with less than a bachelor’s degree.
