2020 Behavioral Health Symposium

Louisiana Healthcare Connections, on behalf of the Office of Behavioral Health (OBH) would like to invite providers to participate in the 2020 Behavioral Health Symposium: Changing the Conversation in 2020 – Recovering, Rebuilding, Rejoicing. The 2020 BH Symposium is scheduled for September 1-3, 2020.
A dynamic agenda of topics and presenters is scheduled, to include:
- Tuesday, September 1st: Pre-Conference Summits on Special Initiatives:
- Louisiana Opioid Response Plan Update & Training
- My Choice LA Update & Training
- Wednesday, September 2nd and Thursday, September 3rd: 2020 BH Symposium with various topics and presenters to include:
- Health Disparities and Inequities by Dr. Earl Benjamin
- Mindfulness by Dr. Jose Calderon
- Human Trafficking Presentation by staff with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC)
- Suicide Awareness by Dr. Frank Campbell
- Trauma: Reframing and Reclaiming Our Lives by Dr. Jeremy Blunt
- First Responders and Front-Line Workers: Stressors and Response to COVID19 – Panel discussion facilitated by Lt. General Russel Honoré, USA (retired)
