Additional Check Run for Change Healthcare Breach Impacted Providers
Date: 03/01/24
On February 21, Change Healthcare, a software and data analytics subsidiary of UnitedHealth Group’s Optum unit, experienced a cybersecurity incident that has impacted its network and operations. The cybersecurity incident has created a service disruption impacting some providers in Louisiana Healthcare Connections’ network.
We understand the impact on providers’ operations caused by the Change Healthcare cybersecurity incident, and we empathize with the challenges providers trying to navigate the disruption of services they relied on. We are committed to supporting providers in our network during this difficult time.
To support providers who relied on disrupted manual and virtual check payments, we will conduct an additional check run on Friday, March 1, 2024. This ensures timely payment for those who would have received manual checks or virtual credit card (VCC) payments since February 21, 2024. Paper checks will be mailed by Monday, March 4, 2024.
Thank you for your patience and partnership as we all navigate this situation. Louisiana Healthcare Connections is committed to the success of our network providers. If you have any questions, please contact your Provider Engagement representative or our Provider Services team at 1-866-595-8133 or visit the Change Healthcare Outage site.
