Allwell from Louisiana Healthcare Connections Announces New Medicare Advantage Plans in 2020 for Louisiana

Baton Rouge, La. – Allwell from Louisiana Healthcare Connections is introducing new Medicare Advantage plans designed to help individuals who are eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid for 2020.

In 2020, Allwell will offer D-SNP health plans in 10 parishes: Ascension, East and West Baton Rouge, Jefferson, Livingston, Orleans, Pointe Coupee, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, and Washington.

"We are pleased to offer dual special need plans in Louisiana in 2020,” said Michael Smith, Vice President with Louisiana Healthcare Connections. “We are taking a whole-health approach to helping our members, by providing services that improve quality of life by promoting longer, active lives.”

The Medicare Advantage annual enrollment period began on October 15, 2019, and continues through December 7, 2019, and gives consumers enrolled in Medicare Parts A and B the opportunity to sign up for one of Allwell’s 2020 Medicare Advantage plans.
