ASAM Training Available for Providers on Opioid Use Disorder Virtually

Opioid misuse is an epidemic in America, and Louisiana Healthcare Connections is committed to helping clinicians combat this. Buprenorphine is a clinically effective, in-home therapy for opioid use disorder, but nearly half of the United States lack buprenorphine-waivered providers.

Providers can access buprenorphine trainings conducted by the American Society of Addiiction Medicines (ASAM) virtually. The ASAM Treatment of Opioid Use Disorder (TOUD) Course covers all education requirements and treatment information needed to obtain a buprenorphine waiver.
