Check your mail! New Member ID cards for all members.

Date: 08/28/23

Louisiana Healthcare Connections members: We have a new Member ID card heading your way! Because we have updated the pharmacy information on your Member ID card, we are sending you a new one. Be on the lookout for your new ID card in the mail. Your benefits and Rx coverage are not changing, but your card is.

Remember, you need your Member ID card to schedule appointments and receive covered benefits.

Start using your new card on October 28, 2023. Until then, keep using your current card.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Members were initially instructed to start using these cards on October 1st. However, the date has been delayed by LDH. Please continue using your current card and begin using your new card on October 28th. We apologize for the delay and any confusion this may cause. Learn more.

The cards have new pharmacy-related numbers you will need for any prescriptions and medicines you get at the pharmacy. These updates do not affect your benefits or prescriptions in any way. But your pharmacy will need these new numbers beginning October 28, 2023.

Members with Behavioral Health benefits only: You will NOT be receiving a new ID card.

When you receive your cards, check to make sure all of your personal information is correct. If your new Member ID card contains any errors, please call Member Services at 1-866-595-8133 (TTY: 711) Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. so that we may correct them.

Remember: Your card is changing but your benefits and covered services are not.

If you have not received a new Member ID card by October 28, 2023, it could mean that your contact information is not up to date. In this case, please call us at 1-866-595-8133 (Hearing Loss: 711), Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. We can update your mailing address and send you a new card.

Here are what the new cards look like:
