Culturally Appropriate Care Training Available

Louisiana Healthcare Connections is excited to announce a Clinical Training webinar offering Culturally Appropriate Care training.
This training is designed for all healthcare professionals to learn how to address culturally appropriate care in order to improve member’s care, safety, and overall experience. Begin by defining cultural terms and their relationship to member experience. Attendees will explore a variety of tools and exercises that can be implemented at both macro and micro levels to achieve optimal outcomes for members and professionals alike. The training will define unconscious bias and examine its potential impact on member’s health outcomes. Last, explore ways to promote best practices working with the Louisiana Indigenous population.
Objectives:
- Analyze the cultural terms and their correlation with the member experience.
- Evaluate culturally appropriate care tools to integrate into clinical practice.
- Define unconscious bias and its potential impact on member health outcomes.
- Explain why these best practices are important when interacting with Indigenous population.
