The Louisiana Department of Health released Informational Bulletin 22-12: Remote Patient Monitoring Policy on April 12, 2022.
The Professional Services-Obstetrics section of the MCO Manual (pg. 136) was updated for this policy and will be effective May 19, 2022.

Remote Patient Monitoring
Remote patient monitoring is the use of medical devices to measure and transmit health data from a member to a provider, who can then analyze the data to make treatment recommendations. MCOs may cover remote patient monitoring for the management of hypertension and diabetes for pregnant members.
