The 2025 Atlantic hurricane season is officially underway—and it’s expected to be an active one. According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), there’s a 60% chance of an above-normal season, with 13 to 19 named storms, 6 to 10 hurricanes, and 3 to 5 major hurricanes (Category 3 or higher) .
With hurricane season running from June 1 through November 30, and Louisiana often in the path of major storms, now is the time to prepare—both for your patients and your practice.
