On April 22, 2024, UnitedHealth Group issued a press release, providing an update on the Change Healthcare cybersecurity incident that occurred on Feb. 21, 2024. Given the size of the data impacted, the investigation to determine whose data is impacted is expected to take several months. UnitedHealth Group believes this situation will impact “a substantial proportion of people in America” and is offering immediate credit monitoring and identity protection services, as well as a dedicated contact center to address questions. Renewing Your Medicaid Coverage Just Got Easier

If you get a letter from Louisiana Medicaid letting you know it’s time to renew your coverage, there’s good news. The Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) is making the process easier by including pre-filled forms in renewal letters.

When it’s time for you to renew, you’ll get a paper renewal form in the mail already pre-filled with your information. First, check that the information is correct. If you need to make changes, just write them in the spaces provided. You can add additional people in your household or list another job. Then, sign the form and return it.

You’re already connected to the care you need, so don’t risk losing it! Even if all the information on your pre-filled form is correct, you will still need to sign and return it to complete the renewal process. You must complete your renewal process by the due date on your letter. If you miss the deadline, you will lose coverage and must reapply for Medicaid.
