Vision (Eyewear) Reimbursement Rate Update (IB24-30)

Louisiana Healthcare Connections is sharing a recent rate update for vision (eyewear) reimbursement (IB24-30). The Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) implemented a vision (eyewear) reimbursement rate update, effective September 1, 2024. All procedure codes, except manually priced codes, received an increase.

In addition to the rate increase, LDH removed the polycarbonate add-on code (S0580) and added V2784 (lens, polycarbonate or equal, any index, per lens) to the fee schedule. Additional updates include a new Excel fee schedule, legend updates, and formatting
updates which are available here.

We will update our system to reflect the changes above within 30 days of this notification (Section 2.18.9.5 of the contract) and will update our fee schedule within 15 days of this notice.
