2022-08: Resuming Quality-Based Incentives

In line with Informational Bulletin 20-5: COVID-19 Provider Update revised on March 14, 2022, Louisiana Healthcare Connections will resume regular, quality-based incentive payments, effective May 1, 2022. This applies to all value based payments, quality improvement programs, including both Per Member Per Month and Pay for Performance quality measures. Quality incentives after this date will be based on actual quality measure results, and the historical average will no longer apply. Improving health in our state is a meaningful, challenging mission, and we value healthcare providers as key partners to be supported. To improve health, we must also work together to improve the healthcare system. That’s why we collaborated with providers to develop quality-based incentive programs – above and beyond the Medicaid fee schedule – so your practice is compensated for the important work you do to improve health, every day.
