CEU Opportunity: Faces & Voices Recovery Virtual Training Available

This August to December, Faces & Voices of Recovery will host five sessions of recovery peer support trainings. These trainings are free and funded by the Louisiana Office of Behavioral Health (OBH). By participating in these virtual sessions, Peer Support Specialists can obtain the 10 CEUs required for the calendar year. Other interested staff may also attend.

RECOVERY MESSAGING
August 18-19

Learn to use person-first, solution-focused language to promote groundbreaking messaging to advance the recovery agenda. Sharpen your skills as a recovery communicator and learn to tell your story with purpose.

ORGANIZATIONAL WELLNESS
September 15-16

Fill your organization with leaders, staff, and volunteers who are engaged, satisfied, productive and effective to promote healthy cultures, reduce workplace conflict, turnover, and burnout.

MOTIVATIONAL INTERVIEWING
October 27-28

Learn and practice this beautiful language so it becomes part of you versus an approach. Gain a better understanding of the effectiveness of this tool for deeper and more honest relationships to assist people with moving through change.

PEER ETHICS
November 16-17

A comprehensive look into ethical codes of conduct and their role in peer support services and clinical settings. Learn the types of boundaries that exist in human behavior and how to navigate complex challenges surrounding ethical dilemmas in the field of recovery.

PEER SUPERVISION
December 14-15

This training will give you the framework you need to know to become an effective supervisor. Learn about supervision styles, transitional changes, professional discipline, moving from peer to supervisor, motivation zappers, and more.
