How To Update Your Information

Having current billing information on file for your practice helps to ensure the timely processing of your claims and reduces unnecessary rejections or denials. When required data is missing or is out-of-date, claims may be rejected or denied for correction and re-submission.

Want to check what taxonomy is on file with us?

Verifying the taxonomy code on file with Louisiana Healthcare Connections is easy! Just log into our secure provider portal and click “Reports.” Then select “Verify Demographic and Practitioner Info” to open the spreadsheet. The provider taxonomy is listed in Column G, and practitioner taxonomy is listed in Column BT. If you aren’t currently registered for our provider portal, you can find directions to start that process here.

Need to add or change your taxonomy in our registry?

If you need to update your taxonomy with us, please do one of the following:

  • Mail a letter of request on your letterhead to Louisiana Healthcare Connections, ATTN: Provider Contracting, 8585 Archives Ave., Suite 310, Baton Rouge, LA, 70809.
  • Fax a letter of request on your letterhead to 1-866-768-9374.
  • Update your taxonomy online at https://nppes.cms.hhs.gov and notify Provider Services via phone at 1-866-595-8133, Monday – Friday, 7 a.m.-7 p.m.

Credentialing Changes?

Have your office hours changed? Do you need to add or term practitioners? Do you want to request updates to your panel? These changes can be submitted via email to lhc_provider_credent@centene.com. You can learn more about our credentialing requirements here.
