Louisiana Healthcare Connections is sharing with providers Informational Bulletin 21-17: Changes to Durable Medical Equipment, Pediatric Day Health Care, Home Health, Rehabilitation and Personal Care Services, and Pharmacy Due to Hurricane Ida which was revised on September 10, 2021.  

IB 21-17 Revision Summary:

Changed include extending all prior authorizations for services through October 31, 2021 durable medical equipment services: 

  • Durable Medical Equipment (DME) supplies related to incontinence, diabetes, tracheostomy care, wound care, home dialysis, parenteral and enteral nutrition, apnea/breathing monitors and other respiratory supplies, home oxygen, electric breast pumps, pulse oximeter probes and tape, and intravenous therapy.
