Pediatric Day Health Care Reimbursement Update (IB 22-24)

Louisiana Healthcare Connections would like to share news of an update to the reimbursement rate for Pediatric Day Health Care (PDHC). This is part of the 2022 Regular Session of the Louisiana Legislature in House Bill 1 budget allocation, Act 199 .  In compliance with Act 199, the Department of Health, Bureau of Health Services Financing amends the provisions governing reimbursement in the PDHC Program in order to increase daily, hourly, and transportation rates for PDHC centers.

Effective August 8, 2022, the Department of Health, Bureau of Health Services Financing amends the provisions governing reimbursement for pediatric day health care centers in order to increase reimbursement rates.

Louisiana Healthcare Connections will have this rate increase implemented by August 12, 2022, and claims project have started to recycle claims back to effective date to pay at updated rates with no additional action required by providers.
