On April 22, 2024, UnitedHealth Group issued a press release, providing an update on the Change Healthcare cybersecurity incident that occurred on Feb. 21, 2024. Given the size of the data impacted, the investigation to determine whose data is impacted is expected to take several months. UnitedHealth Group believes this situation will impact “a substantial proportion of people in America” and is offering immediate credit monitoring and identity protection services, as well as a dedicated contact center to address questions. Tips For Completing Your Enrollment in the Provider Portal

If you file claims with Louisiana Medicaid, you must enroll in the new Medicaid Provider Enrollment Portal or run the risk of not being reimbursed for services rendered in the future. We want to make sure you don’t experience any gaps in reimbursement that may impact patient care and access to services. Providers are encouraged to register before June 30, 2022.

How to Enroll

Louisiana Medicaid sent letters to the address on record for all current providers in the fall of 2021. This letter contained enrollment instructions and data elements required to complete enrollment including Louisiana Provider ID, NPI, city, state, and zip code.

If you do not have the letter from Medicaid, you can request a copy by emailing louisianaprovenroll@gainwelltechnologies.com. All requests must include the provider name and NPI. Reprinted letters will be mailed to the original address on record. If you prefer to get the reprinted letter sent by email, include the primary servicing location on organizational letterhead in the email request. Providers may send requests for multiple practitioners in a single email.
